Short version. From March to November the temple is open 8:30 to 17:00; from December to February, 9:00 to 16:30. A visit takes about 30 minutes.

The last entry is the closing time itself (17:00 in summer, 16:30 in winter), and the temple asks visitors to be off the hillside path by the time in the last column. The shop closes 30 minutes before the end of visiting hours.
Admission
We could not confirm the current admission fee on the temple's pages, so we do not print it here; check at the gate. Visitors with a disability certificate pay ¥100 (adults and children), on showing the certificate that day.
Good to know
- Allow about 30 minutes for the visit.
- Pets are allowed only if you carry them or keep them in a carrier; they may not walk on the paths.
- There are no guides at the temple.
